Hi! I’m Dr. Jyoti Sangle, a consultant psychiatrist practising for more than 20 years in Mumbai and Hyderabad. I currently serve as the Head of the Department of Psychiatry at Holy Spirit Hospital, Andheri, and a visiting psychiatrist at the Dr. LH Hiranandani Hospital, Powai.

A winner of the Major Jenning’s Prize and the coveted National Bhagwat Award for the best research paper, I have publications in the national and international psychiatry journals. I have been a regular contributor to newspapers and magazines on various aspects of mental health. The unprecented pandemic gave me the unique opportunity to spread mental health awareness amongst corporates and general public through webinars, podcasts and social media.I have always been excited to support any program to help people in distress since my student days. I’ve been being a part of a suicide helpline, been associated with support groups for bipolar disorder, and now have a plan brewing to start a support group for the care givers to mentally disturbed patients!

U&I came along as a venture which rigorously strives to spread awareness and alleviate the state of mental health, and fit in as a perfect opportunity for me to add value and do my essential bit. I envision to make U&I accessible to all, and to help add awareness one person at a time.
